Aurash is an English adaptation of this ancient Persian folktale, blending our signature folk music with poetic text.  Adapted for stage by world renowned Iranian playwright Bahram Beyza'ie.

 

Aurash finds himself trapped in a politician's war. He decides he cannot wait for a hero or politician but must fight for the rights of ordinary Persian people.

 

Reflecting the extraordinary scenes of communities overcoming challenges together throughout the pandemic, this folktale asks each of us to stand up for the needs of our communities.
